1. Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email or phone number, and password. When you list or buy an account, we collect listing details, transaction records, and (for sellers) the account credentials needed to hand over access after a sale. We also collect basic usage data like login times and device/browser information.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate the marketplace: creating and managing your account, processing payments, holding funds in escrow, running the verification window, resolving disputes, sending transaction and security notifications, and enforcing our Terms of Service.
3. Account credentials
Credentials a seller provides for a listing are encrypted at rest and are only decrypted to hand over to the buyer once payment has cleared. Support staff don't have routine access to stored credentials.
4. Sharing your information
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the payment processor needed to complete a transaction, and with law enforcement or regulators when legally required.
5. Data retention
We keep account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after, to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.
6. Your rights
You can review and update most of your account information from your profile page at any time. To request a copy of your data or ask that it be deleted, contact support@swapbay.store.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as SwapBay changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
